Welcome to Thursday, September 20th which is a 4 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Two of Swords.

Last night my radio show was about depression. We all suffer it from time to time. Some of us wallow in it for longer than others, I know I have been. My main point of the show was to tell people that if they are depressed that they need to reach out. Reach out to a friend, or a group. People you know that will just listen to you and maybe offer suggestions. All too often we run across people that will tell you to get over it, or they will run away at the first sign, thinking that your ‘problem’ will carry over onto them, burdening them or something. Those aren’t friends… those are ‘facebook’ friends.

I never in my life thought that I would be labeling ‘friends’ in different categories like this, especially with the internet. Maybe because I grew up without it? The lines are being blurred to what is reality and what isn’t and it makes it hard to find people to confide in.

The Two of Swords is ‘Peace’. I believe that today I am at peace because I spoke up about what was bothering me. Not everybody has the platform of a radio show to do this… I understand that. Peace can only truly come from within, I know this, but that does not mean that we shouldn’t communicate these feelings. Communicating them is just to get it out of our system. No other reason. You just need somebody to listen, that’s all.

Today’s vibration of the 4 is telling us that we are ready to let go of old shit and finally be at peace.

The Empress

Welcome to Monday, September 3rd which is a 5 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Empress.

The Empress is about Manifestation and Creation. I like this card because it tells me to think a little bit before I act. Think of nurturing mothers… they don’t just say, “Here’s a kid, pop it out and send it off.” No… they know instinctively that they have to nurture the baby, help it grow, pay attention to it and then it will flourish.

Same goes with manifesting. I have a tendency to want everything right NOW! But if you think about having everything right now… every thought coming to fruition immediately you would try to shut off your brain because you’d be overwhelmed and very cautious about your thoughts. Fortunately there is a gestation, a nurturing to manifestation. It’s as if the Universe wants us to be serious about it before it comes into existence. That’s a good thing.

Let me tell you about my weekend… I’ve been studying Human Design and I’ve been gobbling this stuff up. So much so that it has overwhelmed me and nothing has existed this past weekend except my dog and food. Other than that it’s been “Human Design”. I found myself wanting to KNOW everything about it and wanting it NOW. Well, like I mention it burned me out. I wasn’t giving time to let it absorb into myself.

So… today is a great day to manifest all that you want but let it flow into you. Don’t force it. Just ‘know’ that it will come when it is supposed to come.

Listen with that Inner Ear

Welcome to Wednesday, August 15th which is a 7 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the High Priestess.

Today’s card is the direct predecessor to yesterday’s card, the Magician. The difference between the two is that the Magician creates its own reality while the High Priestess draws to the energy from around her. She takes the energy of the universe and uses it to work with her.

Today is a great day to notice what is going on around us, to listen for those subtle messages in dreams, in the wind, the elements around us. To be silent and listen to our intuition. How often do we brush our intuition aside as just fluff?

What I do to practice with my intuition is to take a drive in my car and just see where I end up. One of the most memorable times was when I hopped on my motorcycle and rode from LA to Sedona, Arizona and ended up becoming part of the Bell Rock Hiking Club. Point being… we will never know unless we start listening to our inner ear.

Focus

Welcome to Saturday, July 21st which is a 3 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 3 of Disks.

One of my favorite inspirational songs is by one of my mentors, Michael Bernard Beckwith. In his song ‘U R the Answer’ he states this truth…

“And then there is this thing called focus. This willingness and ability to stay the course. To be so focused on that which is real, to be so focused on that which is eternal we make a U-turn towards unadulterated, unified, the moment that transformation occurs you’re setting yourself free.”

Today is a day to focus on your best abilities. That thing that you are so undeniably good at but somewhere inside of yourself you won’t allow your light to shine. You have to understand that shining your light is not ‘ego’. Shining your light is allowing yourself to be present for others to see that light which helps them to shine as well. Your gifts are here to share and when you finally realize that, like Beckwith says, ‘… you’re setting yourself free.’.

Today’s energy of the 3 has strong individual principles. It represents an end of a cycle with a new beginning ahead. Communication and rhythm are in this energy so get up off of the couch and shine your light.

Welcome to Saturday, June 2nd which is a 1 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the High Priestess.

Yesterday I took a walk in a Labyrinth. They say that when you walk into a Labyrinth you clear your mind. It’s a walking meditation and I highly recommend it for anybody that has a hard time meditating. It allows you to focus on the path alone and eventually your mind will clear and you’ll feel a sense of peace. They say to walk barefoot and become one with the earth. I did this, even though it’s 100 degrees here in Las Vegas it didn’t seem to bother me. Possibly because I wasn’t focused on anything but the path and my breath.

The High Priestess is reminding us of our duality. We are both Feminine and Masculine and if we don’t tap into both aspects we are closing off a part of us that helps balance us as human ‘be’ings.

Do you trust your intuition?

Is there a part of yourself that you are always second guessing? I should have done this, or I should have done that, listening too much to other people? When was the last time that you acted on impulse? Did it serve you? How many times have you walked aimlessly just following your footsteps only to find yourself in the place you needed to be at that moment?

I try to do this often to keep everything in perspective. Trusting your intuition is difficult in today’s day and age. We have GPS’s, computers, phones. What if you could just turn those off for a day, or even an hour and just follow your intuition? Maybe you’ll learn something about yourself, or you might meet someone interesting. That’s when the ‘coincidences’ happen. Although, if you believe there are no coincidences then these moments become your intuition, your inner guidance bringing you a gift.

Go get lost today and see what you might find.

With today’s energy of the 1 we are guided by our intuitive sense. Call it ‘God’s Plan’ if you will. I don’t mean that in any Dogmatic sense. I’m talking about the God within you.

Go Within

Welcome to Friday, June 1st which is a 9 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 6 of Swords.

Take a look at this image. Notice that the flower blooms once exiting the Labyrinth? There are actually two of them coming together. I take this as the conscious and the subconscious traversing through life and coming together. Science and Spirituality entering into enlightenment.

So what does this mean for us?

So much of our lives we are seeking something outside of ourselves. We will follow guru’s, religions, rock stars, movie stars, parents… everyone but ourselves because we somehow don’t believe that we have the answers inside of ourselves.

We’ve been conditioned to think this in our society. But what if we could take a deep breath and know that the answers were inside of ourselves? You wouldn’t be reading this.

Today I am going to take a walk in a Labyrinth. Why? Because yesterday labyrinths popped up all around me an then pulling this card this morning and seeing the labyrinth once again was an affirmation to myself that I must do this. I am trusting my instincts. What will I learn? I don’t know yet. Isn’t that seeking something outside of myself? Possibly. Or it’s possible that walking in a labyrinth might open up another chapter in my life.

So, what I’m saying here is; don’t ever stop seeking for your own truth. Just stop seeking it from others. I love that you come to learn from me and I hope that I am the catalyst to your own enlightenment.

Welcome to Sunday, May 13th which is an 11 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the High Priestess.

Shhhhh! 

Yesterday I talked about ‘being’ and ‘doing’. Today we’re going to take that a step further and just sit in silence. With the power of the Master Number 11 it is telling us to trust our inner voice.

Yesterday I went on a 6+ hr. hike with friends. No electronics. Quiet. Peaceful. Just good company and the elements around us. When I was young, growing up in the woods of Western Massachusetts, this was a regular thing for me. I was quite the loner back then. I didn’t have a lot of friends except for those elements outside.

As we become busy in our lives we tend to leave our creative inner mind in the dust, always looking for that creativity again, somehow thinking that by ‘doing’ things that creativity will come back like some miracle.

Creativity comes when we stop talking and start listening. True wisdom lies within ourselves. All of the elements that we think that others have are within. It takes trust and listening to tap into these elements. Michael Bernard Beckwith said this, “Stop looking outside for help. Become still and listen.”

When I think of Jesus and all of the Dogma that has been spread for the thousands of years, as a society we have said that our inner voice should be silenced and that god, that something outside of ourselves, is much more special that who we are ourselves. I think Jesus or the concept of the Christ Consciousness is telling us that WE ARE GOD. John Lennon once said, “I am God.” and the media went crazy. What the media didn’t hear was this… “I am God and so are you.”

Today… go within. Tap into your inner knowing and trust it.
