Where do I go?

Welcome to Sunday, September 23rd which is a 7 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Two of Swords.

Where do I go? Follow the River? Where do I go? Follow the gulls?

We’re at a crossroads right now. We have options, but where do we go? Do we follow our heart and possibly become heartbroken? Do we follow our intellect, or ego and possibly get lost?

Whatever your choice, choose wisely. My suggestion would to always follow your gut, not your heart nor your egoic self. Look at your gut as the culmination of the heart and the head coming together to give you the answer. Following our gut is not always easy though because it speaks the truth, but sometimes we’re not ready for the truth.

Either way… today’s vibration of the 7 is that of psychic abilities, introspection and following your intuition. So sit… breathe… repeat.

Today’s card is Knight of Wands

I open myself to my own success.

There are times in our life when we get in our own way. I happen to be a victim of it myself, especially for the last few days. It’s always hard to take our own advice and that is why we reach out to others… or we should reach out to others. Don’t think it a burden because there are always, at least the majority, those that want to help.

Something I have to remind myself of; We are powerful beyond what we think. When we start to feel powerless and that there is no future in our sight then it is time to get away for a bit, even if it is just taking a hike.

And probably the most important phrase for today is this;

Wherever we go… there we are.

I’m a Genius!

Welcome to Wednesday, July 18th which is a 9 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Magus or Magician.

Talent labors while Genius creates.

Life is truly what we make it, I believe this completely. There comes a time though in our lives where our talent needs to turn into genius. How do we do this? We start gravitating towards our tribe, those people out there that are on the same journey. Do we leave the ones behind that aren’t on our journey though? No… we just nudge them along (if they choose to be nudged).

There are many, many talented people out there slaving away trying to make something spectacular happen in their lives. In the music world, the ones that stand out are the ones that tap into source and do what nobody else is doing, that creates genius. And I’m sure that those that tap into source also had help from like-minded souls here on the planet.

So on a day like today we want to get together with our tribe, and if you don’t have a tribe then manifest one. Today is a perfect day to manifest your dreams and desires. Today’s vibration of the 9 is telling us that the old paradigm is behind us if we choose to let it go and tap into our power.

Again, genius creates while talent labors. Haven’t you labored enough?

Letting go

Welcome to Monday, February 19th which is a 5 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Hanged Man. The Hanged Man represents surrender. Yesterday I had talked about control, so this is adding to yesterday’s energy. Easing you in, if you will. This card works perfectly with today’s energy of the 5. The 5 in numerology is about change and adaptability.

Yesterday I re-posted an article about gun control with the emphasis on control. This morning I was called a few names for it and deleted as a friend.

Am I mad? No. I’m a little concerned though. This person has fallen into the trap of control. Because they don’t like what I’ve said they have lashed out at me. It has nothing to do with me. It is a reflection of themselves. You see, when people feel like they are losing control, instead of looking at themselves it is much easier to attack what doesn’t work for them. I would like to thank this person for giving me something to write about today… I was going to go in a completely different direction.

Let’s get deeper into this…

I’ve mentioned my Love/Hate relationship with Facebook. It’s a great tool for me as a musician because I can get my music out to people much easier than let’s say, 20 years ago when I had to hand out flyers. Easier is not always better though. Yes, it’s easier to reach a broader audience but you lose the personal aspect of reaching out to people. When I play out live, that is where I get to have that personal touch. So, it’s a double-edged sword. That is the love. So… what is the hate?

My disdain for this medium is this… If you don’t like what someone says you block them. You cut them out of your life. You can easily listen to what you want to hear and nothing more. So to me, it becomes a narcissistic platform where you get to boost your ego or bully others because you don’t know how to do it in real life. We’ve lost the art of debate and taken on a paradigm of intolerance.

So this brings me back full circle to today’s card. Acceptance, letting go, going with the flow, ZERO attachment. It can be hard if you let your ego get in the way. But as I like to say…

Leggo my Ego.
