Today’s card is the 4 of Swords. Truce.
First, before I start this reading I would like everyone to take a moment to send love and light to everyone that knew Vinnie Paul. To his family, and his close friends. Although I didn’t know the man personally I know quite a few that did. He was a Rock Star. It was always nice to see him out in the audience at a show either when I was playing or when others were playing. He didn’t have to do that, but he loved music and was a kind soul. He once invited Taylor and I over for a BBQ at his house which we sadly missed. You will be missed Sir.
As every card that I pull is perfect and has meaning for the collective, this card is no exception. Why would the ‘Truce’ card come up today? I think it was a reminder to us that life is short and that burying the hatchet with any conflict in our life is imperative
So, this is not only telling us to bury the hatchet with others, it is telling us to do the same with ourselves. I believe the anger within ourselves fuels road rage, mass shootings, school shootings, prejudice, etc. It all stems within us. Each individually.
Vinnie Paul could have hidden away in his house for the rest of his life. He had reason too if there was anybody that did. His brother was brutally shot while doing what he loved and I’m sure that was with VP every day of his life but that did not stop him from supporting others.
So, again… time to make a truce, with ourselves and with others, because life is way too short.
