‘Lies That Bind’ is nearly ready for release

As you have heard, we’ve all been busy for the past month preparing for the release of our new single, ‘Lies That Bind’. After a busy few weeks at sea with the Monsters of Rock Cruise, David is back in Vegas and is raring to move forward with the release of our single.

At the same time, Neil has been busy with Trishula and his new album, Scared to Breathe, and Alex and Joe are coordinating special little treats to accompany the release of ‘Lies That Bind’ (more soon, the wait will be worth it) in Lisbon and L.A.

So you should start learning more about D.N.A.’s new release, ‘Lies That Bind’, and our future plans in the next couple of weeks. Stay tuned!

D.N.A. are preparing for the release of Lies That Bind

Greetings! We’ve been a little quiet since NAMM, but that’s not because things aren’t happening, not by any stretch, actually quite the opposite!

We’ve been rushed off our feet since NAMM in Anaheim, where we were handing out USB cards with a preview version of our new single, ‘Lies That Bind’. The feedback we have been receiving so far has been fabulous. No sooner was NAMM over than David rushed off to Florida, where he is spending the month sailing around the Caribbean mixing with the rock greats. Of course, he’s been handing out USBs and is down to his last eight. Looks like we’ll have a collector’s item on our hands.

Alex and Joe are hustling for D.N.A. behind the scenes in Lisbon and Los Angeles, respectively, and amongst other things are preparing for the official release of ‘Lies That Bind’ in March. All being well we’ll have something really nice for you.

And Neil? Neil has been working on something very special. Even before D.N.A. got back together he was working on his new album, and in February it was released and is doing very well. Check out his band Trishula and their album Scared to Breathe, which is also the title of the first single from the album. Playing alongside Neil with Trishula is vocalist Jason Morgan and D.N.A. alumni, the awesome João Colaço on drums. Check out ‘Scared to Breathe’ below and online at all good streaming services. It’s great!

A Happy New Year from David

Happy New Year!

Yes, I know I’m a bit late on this. After breaking my wrist in late November I’ve become a bit of a homebody. But, in saying that … it hasn’t stopped me!

For the last few months I’ve been writing with my old band D.N.A.!

Every year, Alex Santos and I talk about finishing what we started. We wrote a kick ass EP that we entitled Life, and as ‘Life’ would have it we both got busy with our lives. Me moving to Las Vegas, starting a new relationship, a new band, touring … and Alex, having kids, pushing his band ‘Scar For Life’.

Again, always the reminder of Life and how powerful it was.

Well … the good news first!

There is no bad news! Alex, Neil, and myself are back! Yes, we are going to re-release ‘Life’ and we’ve already recorded a bunch of new tunes for an album that we are calling Second Life.

Second Life is a perfect name for this album. Why, you ask? Well, this is our second go-round with D.N.A., and it happened at the perfect time for all of us. We’re on fire and the writing just flowed through us like it was 2013 again. We didn’t miss a beat and we can’t wait to bring this to you.

We are also bringing aboard a kick ass team of players that we will announce on our new website that just went live today.

If you are at NAMM make sure to keep an eye out for us.

Peace!

David

D.N.A. will be at NAMM

This weekend, from the 24–27 January at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, will be the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Established in 1901, NAMM aims to strengthen the $17 billion global music, sound and event technology products industry and serves as the crossroads for professionals wanting to seek out the newest innovations in music, recording technology, sound, stage and lighting products.

David Reed Watson and Alex Santos from D.N.A. will be attending. It’s a great opportunity to meet the driving forces behind the band, and you might even be able to get your hands on an exclusive. If you are interested in D.N.A., or just want to meet two great musicians, get along to the Anaheim Convention Center.

Ready for the next adventure…

It is with a heavy heart that I announce this…

As of Thursday, November 1st, 2018 I will be resigning as Vocalist/Lyricist for Kill Ritual.

As with all things in life… we must grow, and move into our next role. What that role will be has yet to be determined but I know that the Universe/God/Great Spirit will give me what I need for my next journey, just as it did when I joined Kill Ritual 3 years ago.

While in Kill Ritual I got to do some amazing tours in Europe, Canada, and the US. We put out two great records that I am proud of, Karma Machine and All Men Shall Fall. Lyrically, I spoke my truth, and for those that heard that truth I can only hope it enlightened and spoke to you and that you will carry those words close when you think of me.

As much as I loved sharing the stage with these guys, deep down inside I knew that Kill Ritual was not the vehicle for me to share my vision with forever. As much as I tried to put those feelings behind me, I knew that this was just another continuing chapter in my Rock n’ Roll anthology.

To all of the friends and fans…

Forgive me for leaving you in what seemed in haste, but this has been something I’ve been considering for a little while now but I hope that we can cross paths again someday soon.

To all of you that I’ve signed autographs for, taken pictures with, hugged, or just talked about life with… you will always have a special place in my heart.

Last but not least… I wish to thank the boys in Kill Ritual, Mark Kloeppel, Joann Gullo, and Extreme Management for all of their hard work and to their future success.

Peace and Namaste.

I’ll sure I’ll see you again soon!
David Reed Watson

Please welcome our new Bass Player

Ladies and Gents, Kill Ritual fans near and far…

We would like to introduce you to Alexandre Santos who will be playing Bass for Kill Ritual,
both touring and helping write their next album, The Opaque and the Divine.

We will be throwing him right in the fire for his first show with us in Las Vegas for
Kiss Night at Count’s Vamp’d, October 20th.

Alex is best known for his work and composition with the Portuguese melodic rock/metal band
Scar For Life (2008–present) and for his collaboration with other established heavy rock musicians
in the bands D.N.A. (2013) and Stagma (2018–present). If you recall, David (KR Vox)
and Alex collaborated with Kane Roberts (Alice Cooper), Neil Fraser (Ten, Rage of Angels, Stagma),
Mikael Carlsson (Lover Under Cover), as well as João Colaço (Rage of Angels, Scar For Life) creating D.N.A..

Speaking with David he has mentioned how excited he is to work with Alex again.

“Alex and I are like brothers. We argue, we laugh, and we create magic together.
I’ve been long looking forward to working with him again.
He will be an incredible asset to this band.
He is also one of the best songwriters I know.” – David Reed Watson

Alex also established his own recording and production facility, PressPlay Music, in 2008
for which he has mixed and produced several albums.

Make sure you check out Alex’s website if you would like to delve further into who this incredible talent is.
