Welcome to Saturday, August 25th which is an 8 in Numerology.

Today’s card is Justice.

What is just? What is unjust?

The question can be answered on both sides of the fence. From my reality justice is what we make it to be. We find ways to validate anything if want it badly enough. For example: Some would say that country music sucks while another appreciates it so much that it has changed their life? If someone is gay that will say that the world is unjust to them while a christian would go so far as to say god is just by putting someone who is not heterosexual down.

So… who is right? Who is wrong?

Would you believe me if I said… neither?

What it comes down to is this… we each have our own reality. How do we know this? We know because realities change. People change. Society changes. That is why I’ve bought into what a book says… the bible being one of them. Yes, it might have some great ideas, but are those ideas complete and whole? I think not. We know this because we’ve watched things change as society grows and learns. Look at the catholic church and what they are going through at the moment. It seems they’ve been living their own lie for centuries, and I’m sure some are heartbroken and lost… but again, as time moves on we will realize that religion is an old paradigm just as we believe and accept new ideas and concepts.

There are some that believe still that the world is flat, even though we have science to prove them wrong, but that doesn’t change their minds because, again, people will believe what they want to believe until they, themselves, change. Same goes with politics. I might not agree with policies in place, but that won’t change anybody that believes it themselves.

I’m sounding very redundant, and because I write stream of conscious, I somehow will make my point. J So… off of my soapbox I will say this…

Justice and Injustice are personal philosophies and must come to terms personally.

You are God

Welcome to Friday, August 24th which is a 7 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Devil.

Before Christianity, people worshiped the Earth, the animals, nature. They followed the seasons and were more in tune with everything around them. We used marijuana for healing, we followed the progression of the stars… it’s even been said that the months were different, there weren’t 12, there were 13. The months followed the menstrual cycle and the moon.

Where did we get so out of touch and why?

When religion became such a big part of our lives we started believing that something outside of ourselves was bigger and better. Popes, Pastors and Preachers elected themselves as the mid-point between us and God. I’m sure if someone time traveled to today they wouldn’t understand our disconnect from source.

So what does this have to do with the Devil card? Pretty much everything because your first thought when you saw the card was that you did something bad, when you should have looked at it and saw your disconnect from nature. The Devil, represents our instinct. Look at animals… are they going to hell because they don’t go to church or follow a religion? Of course not! They are instinctual beings. They eat when they need to eat, sleep when they need to sleep, play when they want to play, etc.

So today is a day to start following your instinct. Listen to what your inner self is telling you. Are you happy? Are you doing what you want to do or are you feeling an obligation to be doing what you are doing?

Today’s vibration of the 7 is reminding us that our intuitive and psychic abilities are right at the tip of our nose and that it might be a good day to spend some time alone and go deep.

Welcome to Thursday, August 23rd which is a 6 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the 8 of Cups.

There is a restlessness afoot! Can you feel it? It’s under your skin, but you can’t put your finger on it? This card is called Indolence. It means laziness. The good news is this though… when we recognize our laziness we know that somewhere in the back of our mind we are ready to change.

Change is difficult, especially when you don’t know what you want to change. But we know it’s there because we feel stagnant. We’re ready for the next big thing… if we could just put our finger on it.

Today’s vibration of the 6 is telling us that we have a deep inner knowing. We have the answer even though we don’t think that we do at the moment. Just breathe, relax, and let the answers come to you.

Let it Be

Welcome to Wednesday, August 22nd which is a 5 in Numerology.

Today’s card is Justice.

This card comes up as an 11 or an 8 depending on the deck. It also comes up as adjustment or justice. In my deck it’s the 11th card, Justice.

Today is ruled by these. If we want balance and harmony in our lives we need to adjust our thoughts. Every negative thought has an impact on us. These thoughts compound, they add up and start affecting all areas of our lives. If we watch the news all of the time we become cynical. If we focus too much on one thing, we become obsessed. Try practicing ‘non attachment’. I was reading in a book yesterday about becoming more aware and then allowing this awareness to just flow. It tells you to first notice everything around you… notice the wind, the birds, the feeling of the paper on the book… becoming hyper aware of everything. Once you do this start becoming aware of your feelings. What emotions come up when you hear birds sing, when you feel the heat of the weather around you, etc.? Now… with that awareness still in tact, just let it flow around you without becoming focused on any of it… just let it all happen around you.

This is what meditation is. It’s becoming unattached to any thought or to any feeling, just letting them flow through us. Give it a shot today and start noticing that just letting it all be allows you to free yourself.

When I work Reiki on people what I am doing is opening up their Chakras. I’m helping allow the energy to flow through their bodies. By unblocking the chakras, they don’t get stuck. They get stuck in different areas of our bodies when we allow thoughts and feelings to build up in certain areas of our bodies.

Todays energy is ruled by the 5. Five is Freedom in Action. Restless in their nature. So it might be difficult to sit still today, that is your challenge.

Fly by Night

Welcome to Tuesday, August 21st which is a 4 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Prince of Swords.

The Swords Suit deal with conflict and pain. Maybe there is something inside of yourself that you must look at?

As we grow in this world we take on certain roles and are sometimes expected to follow these roles because we’ve either been very adamant about how we feel about certain things or we’ve grown in a family that expects us to be a certain way. When we don’t sit and evaluate these roles from time to time we start to go on autopilot. When was the last time you sat down to analyze these roles? Maybe you’ve always had a certain political belief and now find yourself blindly following? What would happen if you sat and looked at these beliefs and decided that they no longer work for you? Would you be afraid of what society thought? Afraid of what your family might think? Afraid to lose the friends you’ve gathered over the years? Or maybe a job?

These are important things to consider, but to deny yourself of your own beliefs is doing yourself the biggest injustice. Living our own lives and owning our truths can be a difficult first step, but once taken there is a freedom you gain that you could never have when you locked yourself into a stubborn ‘truth’ you once had.

Today’s energy of the 4 is saying we are ready to build our higher conscious which means that treating others with fairness regardless of what your past beliefs may have been. It’s looking in the mirror. It’s saying, as the Beatles once wrote, “I am he, as you are he, as you are me, and we are all together.”

Higher Ground

Welcome to Monday, August 20th which is a 3 in Numerology.

Today’s card is the Princess of Swords.

Time to cut through the bullshit. That means with the people around us as well as ourselves. If we see injustice don’t just sit there and blow it off thinking that someone else will take care of it. Remember how I’ve talked about us being Source? That means that the buck stops here, nowhere else, and not by anybody else.

Today isn’t giving you a free pass to be an asshole. If you go this route, you’ve lost the point of being source. What it means is that you are living an ethical life for yourself AND for the Universe around you.

Go for the high ground today and do your best to stay there.

Today’s energy of the 3 is of being a closed force with strong principles. You have a new beginning right now at your finger tips. Communication and Rhythm are key. Again, stay on Higher Ground.

Uncommon Valor

Welcome to Sunday, August 19th which is an 11 in Numerology.

Today’s card is Virtue.

“Uncommon Virtue was a Common Valor” – Chester Nimitz

In 1945 Admiral Nimitz wrote this about the Marines and the incredible sacrifice they made in the Battle of Iwo Jima. Six Thousand Marines died then, one third of the entire Marine death toll of WWII.

These Marines, although scared, conjured up an incredible courage for a seemingly impossible task. They had to look within themselves, knowing they may die, yet they still found it within themselves, their own personal power of doing what needs to be done at all costs.

What is it within ourselves that we will do at all costs, even at the cost of death? What truths do we hold within ourselves that are more powerful than anything else?

Today is a day to find that uncommon valor and hold those truths high.

With today’s energy of the 11, the Master number which is associated with instinctual, charismatic and capable of deep insight it is telling us that although we might be afraid of our power from time to time that we know that it is within us and that we can tap into it today, at all costs.
